Lydell to RB?

LYDELL SARGEANT (5-10, 176), Lompoc Cabrillo, Calif. - Depth is not a problem at either cornerback position in the secondary.
That's why when Penn State failed to recruit a tailback on Feb. 7, 2007, Penn State's coaches started thinking about moving Sargeant to the tailback spot on offense for spring practice.

Penn State has four tailbacks on its present roster: seniors Austin Scott (6-0, 209) and Rodney Kinlaw (5-9, 203), plus redshirt freshmen Evan Royster (6-1, 200) and Brent Carter (6-2, 199).

If Penn State's coaches decide to move Sargeant to the tailback position on offense for spring practice, I'm sure Galen Hall hopes he'll be able to add between 10 to 15 pounds to his frame similar to what Kinlaw was able to do his redshirt sophomore year during winter workouts.

Even at around 185 to 190 pounds, Sargeant could only fill the role as a "change of pace" style of tailback in Penn State's single-back set, three-wide receiver formation.
