MLB July 31 Non-Waiver Trade Deadline (2010 Edition)
Since most of us here are into NL teams, I figured I'd put this in the NL thread. Here's some rumors (and one recent trade) to start it off:
Oswalt does not want to go to the Phillies in a trade, a source with direct knowledge of his thinking said Monday.

Personally, I think the Mets need a starter. Their offense has been the problem since the AS Break, but that will come around. They just need to get comfortable in that new lineup with Beltran and Pagan starting most days over Frenchy, etc. Bay is starting to hit, so that's a good sign. So, go after Lilly or Carmona. Maybe even Myers, though I do not like the guy at all. They don't need an ace. They need a solid pitcher that can eat innings so Takahashi can go back to the bullpen.
