Take 3 - Temple

QB - Clark had an average to slightly below average game. Maybe due to the flu that he has. Made some bad mental mistakes, bad decision making, not prepared pre-snap for a potential blitz, etc... Not always his fault, but he needs to recognize a blitz coming and be ready to run or get rid of it sooner.Still want to see him get rid of the ball sooner on those long routes. Every time it seems like Moye is breaking free but coming back to the ball.
HB - Royster looked like old royster. Bouncing outside and off blocks. Love watching a pile build up, thinking he's going down...only to see him pop out of it. Green.....boy oh boy. At this point, just line him up in the slow or something. He gets maybe 1 of every 10 inside runs where he doesn't dance around.
FB - Suhey had a rough blocking game. Overall blocking against the blitz was not good.
Oline - Switched it up this week. Better run blocking, not as good pass blocking. Did okay when Temple ran the traditional D....but when they brought an extra guy or two, struggled more. If we were able to audible out of the packages, we'd be in better shape. But we ran into a play too many times. Some positives that they were able to run. Hoepfully that will keep defenses more honest and a healthier clark and WR group next week will keep us balanced.
WR - Hard to say because Zug was sick, didn't see much. Moye and Powell are still doing a solid job. Got some more action for Smith and Drake. I think we tried too hard to get them involved in certain situations. Like seeing them get some more snaps though. Want to see more Justin Brown.
Dline - Okay overall. I think Odrick is sick and Hayes. Crawford has the ability to dominate. Seems like he is close to really take it up a step. By midseason I expect him to be a household name. Still need more speed rushing. Was hoping Hayes could fill that role. Maybe when Bowman comes back we will do more stunts and blitzing to help out the front 4.
LB - Stupar did better than last week. Getting good experience. Hull actually played solid. Some good stops, decent pass coverage at times. Hopefully Lee is okay and just a slight twist. Need Bowman back to help out the pass coverage.
Secondary - Tough to say FROM WATCHING ON TV. Gave up some yards, but may have been more of the zone coverage and the QB out of the pocket. I like Lynn....not a fan of Timmons on pass coverage. Saw no Wallace that I remember...must have been "sick". Prefer AJ and Lynn as the CB's.
Special Teams - Can they just open up a hole ONCE for Smith. It looks like the guys forming the wedge are too busy getting together to hold hands than actually watch the kicking team coming at them. Punting is a strength. Wagner, no idea about. Kick coverage....not that good.

Overall - 3 lazy, boring games. Positive is that we haven't come close to peaking yet.... but have shown signs where we can dominate on both sides. Question is if we can put it all together quickly... as in next week. O line needs to be more consistent overall. Can't be good in passing one day and running the next day.
