Fantasy Football

So, I've decided to come back from my 1 year break of fantasy football to do a league with a group of buddies and we're going to do it totally devoid of a computerized system (ie: yahoo fantasy football) instead of relying on the computer and everything that comes with it. We all decided to do this upon agreeing that it would add a little more fun and challenge to the equation, plus it would keep us from becoming bored after like, 3 weeks and would keep us up-to-date with shit going on in the NFL. Now, I'm not the biggest NFL fan, but even this has me a little stoked for the upcoming season.

However, this is becoming a massive undertaking. We have decided to do a real live draft 2 weeks from now on the 8th of August, well before the final roster cut day of September 1st. This day was selected because work schedules and weddings, concerts, blowjobs, etc have prevented a later date from being selected. I have been tasked to database every player for every offensive category that is utilized in Fantasy Football with information such as name, age, college, team, experience, height, weight, and any other miscellaneous information. So far I've gotten 3 divisions in the AFC done for the QB position. All of this work on top of making sure the database stays up-to-date is going to be a pain in the ass, but it's for the good of the order.

We're also going to be appointing a neutral party to be our commish. She will be handling draft order, crafting schedule for whom "plays" whom, as well as making sure everybody has updated rosters, and any changes as to who is playing on what week, who is benched, and who is bye. She will also be keeping track of the point totals and enforcing the roster update deadlines and scores reported deadline, and the official rulebook. She will also run the live draft. Thank God I'm not doing her job.

My question to you guys: Has anybody here done this type of fantasy football league? Was it worth all the work in the end? What were the main issues you noticed/overcome? How much time did this consume?

Thanks!
