Anybody ever go to a show at The Pier at Riverfront in Philadelphia?
Going next Saturday night to see Rise Against, Rancid, and Billy Talent. Never been to the Pier but I know it's outside and you can see (and smell) Camden from there. I'm just trying to get a scope for how security is, how the sound is, and how the view is from more than 50 rows or so. The last part will probably be irrelevant as we're leaving Mt. Holly Springs (Carlisle) at 9:00 AM and the show starts at 7:00 PM. We're planning to do the "thousand foot view" of Philadelphia with the 5 or so hours we have to wonder about before joining the line. You know, the bell, a cheesesteak, the whole bit.
So, I beseech you philadelphags: ever been to this place? is this worth the 44 bucks I've elbow dropped from the top rope? Thanks.
