Verizon FIOS vs. Direct-TV (vs. Comcrap)
Ok, I know this debate was waged several times right around the time the whole Big Ten Network release took place, but I'll be moving into a place in a month and a half and want people's feedback.
Currently, I have Direct-TV and it's GREAT to have all the channels I do, but I can't stand the SLOW/DELAYED channel changing and the occasional service outtage.
I used to have Comcrap and actually like the On-Demand stuff but also hate their service and they GROSSLY overcharge.
Verizon FIOS is another option I'm looking at. Anyone have this yet? I'd be looking at getting the basic 250 or so channels, no need for the Premium package for any of the services.
Also the internet bundles for any/all is an option - does anyone know if you can tie your verizon cell phone into an internet/FIOS TV package for a good deal?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I know currently they even give you a free Compaq netbokk with a triple play bundle of tv/internet/phone (is this a landline? if so, pass).
