Ram Problem
Alright...so i'm not a complete moron, but for some reason I'm having problems. I have a HP Pavilion a1217n running windows XP. It should support up to 2 Gigs of ram. Right now I am running with a 1 gig stick. My problem occurs when I try to install the second Gig of RAM. With the 2nd stick installed my machine will either not boot up, or if it does boot up it is tons slower than when I only have 1 gig installed....thoughts? I'm thinking that maybe i'll have to flash my motherboard with more recent drivers, but the machine is only a year or two old and that shouldn't be an issue I wouldn't think. Thoughts?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
