Chesapeake (Va.) Great Bridge five-star wide receiver Logan Heastie was kind of caught off-guard when he was asked about the recent rumors of him potentially decommitting from West Virginia. Earlier in the day, it was reported and confirmed by multiple sources including Scout.com that Heastie’s close friend Tajh Boyd had decommitted from the Mountaineers.

“Yeah, I’m not sure where all those rumors were coming from,” Heastie said. “I just took my official to West Virginia for the Marshall game and I’m solid. I’m not planning on taking anymore visits to anywhere else.

Heastie informed us that since he committed he has not heard much from other schools, although he did say one Big Ten power has been staying pretty active.

“After I committed everything just dropped off,” Heastie explained. “The last few weeks though Penn State has been very active. They basically just try and keep in touch and they said if anything happens I can call them.” Great Bridge has started out the season with a (4-2) mark and the air attack has been struggling. Heastie has caught 45 passes for 550 yards and seven scores.
