Pre-Season Rankings
I know that the college football season is a long long long way away; but I'm curious if anyone knows when the pre-season rankings come out.
I'm curious to see where the media puts us and whether or not we are a top 25 team.
I myself think we should get about a #15 to #20 ranking. I'm thinking the ranking is as low as it is on the basis that we have an inexperienced quarterback, two coaches running the offense, neither of which are worth anything and are ruled by a higher man than that, and the fact that our o-line is always a total joke.
You look at the last several years at PSU and that's where the problem has been. We loose games in the trenches; when we lost to Tolledo several years back; it was because of the o-line. We have lost more games because of the line than anything else. I don't care if you have Kerry Collins , Ki-Janna Carter and Bobby Engram on your team , if you have a shitty line you will not win games. IT doesn't matter if you have an all-american WR and an All-American TE out there either; if you are living in the 60's and refuse to use the middle of the field, you are going to loose games.
So, yea, I'm just curious where people stand on this.
Oh and yes, I do drink the kool aid. I do want us to win a national title...but I for one realize a few things.
1. After the '94 Rose Bowl - Joe said he wasn't comfortable playing football like that. He didn't like laying a 63-14 beatdown on a OSU team. You know how I know this. Look at how many carries Ki-Janna got in the 2nd half. Look at how that team played in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Style points my ass.
2. After the '94 Rose Bowl -- Joe said that was like playing basketball on grass.
3. This isn't the '93 fiesta bowl going into '94. This is a '06 Outback bowl going into '07. We have a QB that locks onto recievers, can't throw the fade route; wants every play to be a TD; and can't read a defense.
