RIP Spencer
We adopted him from a rescue organization at about 6. He spent his entire life to that point chained to post on a concrete patio. Usually, dogs at his age in shelters end up euthanized. He had agression issues and we spent a long time socializing him, but his eagerness to please eventually won over. By the time this picture was taken, I could take him to a leashless dog park and not worry what he'd do.
Today, we put him down after a long fight with cancer. He was a damn fine dog.
