So it seems the previous rumors were true.
According to Rivals front page -- the part that you don't have to pay for. "Antonio Logan-El's career as a Penn State football player has ended before it ever began. The 18-year old, redshirt freshman, offensive lineman from Forestville, Md., made a decision to stop playing football for the Nittany Lions on Monday afternoon."
So , he basically quit. I guess the earlier rumors of him taking time off to deal with familly matters should have been some of the inital writing on the walls.
Maybe he couldn't handle playing in front of 110,000 people every Saturday. Maybe, because he was a 5 star blue-chip offensive lineman going to PSU he figured he'd walk right in, sit in Levi's spot, and just have everything handed to him. Maybe, just maybe, he just sucks and we screwed up AGAIN when trying to find someone in the trenches.
Part of this just suprises me -- why is he waiting till right now to leave the team. Right when everything is going on with the football players and the fight & everything else.
It just sickens me, that once again we can't fill the void at o-line. This team is going to be in for some major headaches this season. I don't care if we have a returning center, and some other players are 'waiting' ... it doesn't matter. Because every year we hear that the o-line is improving, but it doesn't.
No matter what , the problems will not be fixed until we get a new atlhetic director and Dick Anderson is kicked out of the state.
